TOLCO offers an array of engineering services to the contractor specifically related to the support and seismic bracing of non-structural systems for commercial construction and custom fabricated support solutions for water works, institutional, power generation and infrastructure projects.

Seismic Engineering

Our TOLBrace® 7.0 Software is a step- by- step zone of influence calculation program that walks the user through all the requirements of NFPA 13. It is a self-correcting program that generates a submittal sheet with all seismic brace components identified with correct design loads, along with a detail drawing of the seismic brace assembly including the structural attachment. This essential software provides the fire sprinkler designer with a complete zone of influence calculation solution. TOLCO Seismic guidelines comply with requirements of the IBC 2000, 2003 & 2006 and CBC 2001 & 2007.

Our OSHPD Pre-Approved Seismic Bracing Guidelines provide a mechanical, plumbing, electrical or fire sprinkler system designer with submittal sheets stamped with the official OSHPD approved stamp as well as a structural engineer P.E. stamp. This comprehensive book covers various types of structural attachments including concrete, steel and wood for both rigid bracing and cable bracing assemblies.

If a custom engineered solution is what you need, TOLCO can provide an engineer consultant for layout and design of seismic braces using patented TOLCO® products or a custom fabricated solution if the situation requires. A professional structural engineer stamp can be provided for submittals if needed.

Engineered Custom Supports

TOLCO has exceptional capabilities in the design and manufacture of custom pipe and equipment supports. Often these supports must be shown, by providing engineering calculations, to comply with code requirements for load capacity as well as wind or seismic loading. Our Custom Fabricated Supports department can provide these stamped calculations as part of a bundle of services included with our quality products.
