When it comes to rigid bracing systems for pipe, duct, cable tray or any trapeze hung system, TOLCO^® products lead the industry with innovative solutions to reduce installation time and standardize designs for multiple systems and diverse structural attachment conditions. Rigid bracing refers to the bracing of non-structural system by the use of braces that use material such as pipe, strut, channel or angle iron that provide protection against movement in both tension and compression. This type of system has advantages over traditional cable bracing systems. The first advantage is fewer attachment points to the structure. This is critical to reduce installation time and reduce stress points on the structure itself. It also reduces the opportunity for collisions with other systems, making coordination with other trades using BIM processes easier.

Some situations require the use of cable bracing, and TOLCO offers several unique attachments for this type of system. Cable braces are typically required on pipe and duct runs where vibration isolation is installed because cable bracing has more attachment points than rigid bracing. Another reason why cable bracing may be the right choice for your project is that there is no restriction on the length of the brace since it works in tension only, as opposed to a rigid system.
